Formentera, 12 May 2026

With the aim of boosting economic activity and attracting both residents and visitors during the low season, the Formentera Business Association (PIMEF) and the Tourism Promotion Department of the Island Council have launched a new edition of the Formentera Gastronomic Weeks, taking place from 11 to 26 May.

This initiative seeks to offer added value at a time when tourist numbers have not yet reached their peak, encouraging restaurants to remain open and allowing visitors to enjoy the island in a more peaceful setting.

A total of 21 restaurants across the island have joined the initiative, all committed to promoting local cuisine. Each venue will present a menu specially created for the occasion, featuring traditional recipes reinterpreted with creativity and prepared using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The initiative not only highlights the island’s gastronomic value, but also showcases the work of local producers.

The menus, available throughout these two weeks, will be offered at a fixed price of €28, excluding drinks. Diners will be able to choose from restaurants participating during the first week, the second week, or both, depending on each establishment’s decision.

21 Restaurants

Below you can find the names and proposals of the twenty-one restaurants taking part in this year’s edition of the Formentera Gastronomic Weeks. By clicking on the name of each restaurant, you will be able to view the menu on offer.

Prizes for Customers and Restaurants

This year, besides enjoying great food, you can also win prizes. The organisers have introduced a very simple online voting system: after your meal, scan the restaurant’s QR code or use a link to cast your vote.
If you vote for at least two different restaurants, you will be entered into a draw to win €500 in cash.
The restaurant with the most votes will win €1,500, while the runner-up will receive €1,000.
A great excuse to try more than one menu and support your favourite.

I’m Ramón Tur, the person behind everything written and photographed on this website about Formentera. I discovered the island in 1972 when my parents, aboard the mythical Joven Dolores, took me on vacation from Ibiza for the first time, and it was love at first sight that has only grown stronger over time, making Formentera my place of residence for many years now.
