To get to Ca Marí beach, in the Migjorn area, you must take the main road towards La Mola and once you have passed the town of Sant Ferran, at kilometer 6.6 you will find a detour to the right at the road that, in a straight line, will take you to one of the main accesses to the beach.
Due to the extension of the area known as Ca Marí, the accesses to the beach can be several, so if your intention is to reach a point to the left or to the right of the point mentioned, you should take one of the existing detours to both sides of the main road.
Ca Marí beach is a wide stretch of the Migjorn coast that has a wooden walkway that runs parallel to the shore for most of its length.
If we are in the northernmost area of Ca Marí, the beach has a wide sandy area and a group of boathouses where the fishermen of the area keep their boats.
In this area there is also one of the largest hotels on the island and among its facilities open to the general public, there is a sailing school and the rental of paddle surf boards.
In the northernmost part of Ca Marí, the sand area becomes narrower and narrower, reaching a point where the land seems to reach almost to the edge of the sea.
This beach area is usually little frequented except for people who visit the chiringuito that are located at the north end of Ca Marí.
Ca Marí beach offers practically all the services that can be found on a Formentera beach.
You will find several concessions with sunbed and umbrella rentals on the long stretch of sand that Ca Marí covers, so if you are one of those who choose not to lie on the sand, you will have several points of the coast to choose from.
This stretch of Formentera beach does not have a fixed crew of lifeguards, so if you are going to enjoy the sea in Ca Marí, remember to always do it with the utmost caution and respect for the sea.
In front of the Hotel Formentera Playa, located in the area, you will find a sailing school, as well as a paddle surf rental point if you are one of those who want to enjoy water activities during the day of sun and beach.
Also in Es Ca Marí you will find two beach bars and several restaurants where you can quench your thirst, hunger … or both.
I’m Ramón Tur, the person behind everything written and photographed on this website about Formentera. I discovered the island in 1972 when my parents, aboard the mythical Joven Dolores, took me on vacation from Ibiza for the first time, and it was love at first sight that has only grown stronger over time, making Formentera my place of residence for many years now.
