Ses Illetes Parking: Fees and Hours
Summer 2026

By Ramón Tur, Formentera resident · Updated on October 14, 2026

To reach Ses Illetes, Llevant and the other beaches of the Ses Salines Natural Park by car or motorbike, you have to pay an access fee. In 2026 the control is in place from May 10 to October 15 and costs between €5 and €7 per car and between €3 and €5 per motorbike, depending on the date. Here you’ll find the fees, the hours, how to pay and what to do if you’d rather not use a car.

The regulation aims to ensure more orderly access, in line with the limited capacity of the Natural Park’s car parks, and to keep the way clear for emergency vehicles.

How to pay and how it works

  • You pay at the entrance booth, at the start of the regulated area, and you receive a ticket.
  • You can pay by credit or debit card. If you pay in cash, bring the exact amount or notes of up to €20: the staff are not obliged to accept larger notes.
  • The fee is for the whole day, not by the hour. If you leave, you can come back the same day by showing your ticket, as long as there are free spaces.
  • Spaces can’t be reserved: they are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Cars, motorbikes, mopeds and vans under 3.5 tonnes are allowed. Quad bikes are not permitted.

Rules and fines to know about

  • The maximum speed in the car park areas is 40 km/h.
  • Parking outside the designated spaces is a serious offence, with fines of €751 to €1,500 according to the regulation.
  • Beach access routes and driveways must be kept clear.

Getting to Ses Illetes without a car

The regulation itself aims to encourage public transport, electric vehicles and cycling.

By bus. The L3 tourist bus (Bus Turístic L3) leaves from the port of La Savina and reaches Platja Illetes in about 15 minutes. The yellow line costs €10 return and the blue line, which continues to es Pujols beach, €15. Children up to 12 pay half price. Timetables change over the summer: always check the current ones on the official L3 bus website.

By bicycle or electric scooter. A great way to get around the Natural Park. Check out the options for bike, scooter and car hire, where you can use our 4MENTERA discount code.

If you’re coming from Ibiza, here’s the ferry with the same discount code.

Tips to avoid queues

As a Formentera resident, I recommend arriving early in July and August. By mid-morning long queues of cars and scooters build up and the car parks can fill, so no more vehicles are allowed in. And remember that the beaches of Ses Illetes and Llevant are in a protected area: don’t leave litter and follow the staff’s instructions.
