Chiringuito Amagatai Formentera: Opening Date

Chiringuito Amagatai was the third beach kiosk in Formentera to open and kick off the summer season of 2024 at the location previously occupied by Kiosk Lucky. Since July 21, 2024, and at least until the end of the current lease in 2030, this new kiosk will be responsible for providing food, drinks, and music to those who choose to enjoy the central section of Migjorn Beach.

The design of the kiosk features large, natural wood planks on the exterior, placed horizontally without any color treatment, inspired by the traditional fishermen’s huts scattered along Formentera’s coast. Additionally, Chiringuito Amagatai has collaborated with local artist Sol Courregues Boné to incorporate pieces of her recognizable artwork into the decoration of this new kiosk in Formentera.

It includes a spacious bar where you can order your food or drinks and then enjoy them in the shade provided by the awnings and umbrellas that protect you from the blazing summer sun. All this while still enjoying the proximity to and views of the turquoise sea that characterize this part of Migjorn Beach in Formentera.

How to get to Chiringuito Amagatai?

To get to Amagatai Beach Kiosk, follow these simple directions:

1. On the main road towards La Mola, at kilometer 7.5, you’ll see a turn-off with signs for the Blue Bar and Amagatai Beach Kiosk.
2.  About 200 meters after the turn-off, the road forks. Although both paths lead to Migjorn Beach, we recommend taking the right-hand path.
3. Stay on this road without deviating, driving at a moderate speed to enjoy the scenery and ensure safety for others on the road.
4. At the end of the road, you’ll reach a spacious parking area where you can park your car or motorcycle.
5.  From the parking area, walk along the wooden walkway that runs alongside the sea, located on the right-hand side of the parking lot.
6. Walk approximately 200 meters along the wooden walkway and you’ll arrive at Amagatai Beach Kiosk, where a special spot awaits you to enjoy Migjorn Beach.

Opening Hours at Chiringuito Amagatai

Chiringuito Amagatai will open its doors every day during the summer from around 11:00 AM until sunset. This closing time will vary, adjusting with the time of sunset as the day lengthens or shortens depending on the time of year, ensuring a complete experience of both daytime and sunset in this section of Migjorn Beach.

The drink menu is extensive, and we’ve been informed that, as of the opening day, some options are still missing from the offerings at Chiringuito Amagatai. As soon as these updates are available, I will make sure to include them in this section of the website.

The food menu offers a wide variety of dishes, tapas, salads, and more, ensuring that everyone can find something they like to satisfy their appetite without having to leave Chiringuito Amagatai at Migjorn Beach in Formentera.

Quiosco Amagatai Formentera – Project

Juanjo Costa, responsible for the new kiosk at Migjorn, formerly known as Lucky and located near the Blue Bar, opened the new beach bar named ‘Amagatai’ in Formentera at the end of July 2024. This beach bar is designed “by people from Formentera for people from Formentera,” although it will also be open to tourists visiting in the summer, where people of all nationalities can enjoy an excellent location just a few meters from the sea on Migjorn Beach.

With a broad and varied menu for both drinks and food, Chiringuito Amagatai aims to offer all its customers high-quality products and the best possible service from a team that will be in front of the public from Monday to Sunday during the summer season in Formentera.

The availability of a large nearby parking area and the final access via a wooden walkway running parallel to Migjorn Beach make this new beach bar in Formentera a must-visit for anyone who enjoys the island and its hidden corners during their summer vacation days.
